What drives me as an artist is an intense desire to ‘make the invisible visible.’ Specifically, the hidden, interior landscapes within our own bodies and within nature.
 

Uterina (Figure 1), 2018-2020

Hand-embroidered and hand-quilted silk and wool on linen with acrylic, cotton, and walnut. Hung by handmade rope. Stitches used: stem, seed, split, french knot, fly, bunched couching, rope, back, and whipping running.
