Modern Roots

PJ & Jaime's embroidered heirloom is rooted in tradition, with a modern touch. Love, growth and flourishing are the overall themes of this original design: a flowering tree is the central focus, with leafy green vines on either side which are anchored by four red hearts. The simple yet powerful statement, "Together from this day forward," along with their names and wedding date, complete this one-of-a-kind heirloom.

The embroidery was done using silk and cotton threads on a natural linen, with textile paint for the lettering. Stitches used were: french knots, padded satin stitch, and split stitch. The finished piece was laced onto acid-free board and fitted into a frame measuring 11 3/4" h x 9 3/4" w.

We love being able to see this daily reminder of how much fun our wedding day was years ago and how our marriage continues to grow. This will serve as a great reminder of that for many, many years to come!
